A former chief of the Communist militia, an ex-chief of the Investigation, an ousted director of a regional police directorate – this is the leadership of the Attack movement, led by Volen Siderov. In Saturday's elections, the Attack won 21 seats in the next Parliament. In the platoon of Siderov there are also a poet, a guitarist, a surgeon, a dentist and a teacher. The coalition, which became the forth Parliamentary-presented power, was formed in May by the Attack party, led by Volen Siderov, the Protection, union of the patriotic forces and the retired militaries, the National Movement for Salvation of the Fatherland, the Bulgarian National-Patriotic Party, led by Peter Manolov, and the Zora (Dawn) Political Circle. Prof. Peter Beron, Stella Bankova, Prof. Ognyan Saparev are in the Leadership of the Attack coalition, as well as the leaders of the aforementioned organizations: Yordan Velichkov, Illiya Kirov, Mincho Minchev, Editor-in-Chief of the Nova Zora newspaper, as well as the members of the Editorial Council – Stanislav Stanilov and Rumen Vodenicharov; the latter run in the Presidential Elections 1992 in a team with Velko Valkanov. Boncho Assenov, who has had a long career at the Communists State Security Service (KDS) and also at its notorious 6th Department, the KDS political police, and Assoc. Prof. Nako Stefanov, are also members of the Nova Zora Editorial Council.
